Code of Ethics:
As an artist exploring the intersection of AI and creativity, I adhere to a strict ethical framework that ensures integrity, originality, and respect for both artistic and cultural boundaries. My approach to AI-assisted art follows these guiding principles:
1. Respect for Copyright & Intellectual Property
I do not use copyrighted material in my prompts or final images. The only exception is comic book fan art, which is created purely as an homage and will never be sold or distributed.
2. Commitment to Originality
All images I create originate from my own concepts, either through AI-generated prompts aligned with my ethical standards or hand-drawn sketches developed on my tablet. I do not use or manipulate artwork created by others.
3. No Artist Name Referencing
I never reference specific artists by name in my prompts. If I cannot accurately describe a style through my own words and vision, I discard the idea rather than attempting to replicate another artist’s distinct work.
4. Prompting for Creative Control
I maximize control over AI-generated outputs by using detailed, intentional prompts to shape the final result. My goal is to ensure that AI remains a tool rather than an independent creative force.
5. Hand-Drawn Elements for Original Creations
For original projects, such as my Scampers character and story, I sketch concepts by hand before refining them with AI. This ensures a distinct personal touch and creative foundation.
6. Research & Accuracy
I conduct in-depth research into historical, scientific, and artistic contexts to ensure my work is both informed and accurate. Whether depicting a period setting or designing a futuristic landscape, I strive for authenticity and thoughtful representation.
7. Cultural Awareness & Inclusivity
I make every effort to avoid cultural appropriation and ensure that my work is inclusive and respectful. I approach diverse themes with care, aiming to represent different cultures and perspectives with understanding and integrity.
